Reviews
This is NOT a 4.6 star worthy Taco or Burrito spot. At best it is a 3.5 star. We order two burritos, one carne asada and the other carnitas. The burritos were order with refried beans and light rice. The burritos were more beans than anything. The burritos are small. The meats didn't have much flavor but the beans were decent. Overall, the food is okay if one is passing through on a road trip. However, they were dog friendly, which I greatly appreciate.
I came here back to back (Saturday and Sunday) because the food is good. Real good, and they have legit music playing. I left the restaurant ready to keep playing the jams and drink a 6 pack. I didn't do it because I was full but hey that's how good the vibe and the food is. I am definitely coming back. The birria tacos dorados are bomb and the consome is bomb too. I really like their salsa verde. The Roja wasn't my style but if you're done with garlic you might like it.
If you're looking for a fat, greasy, juicy burrito with all the fixings....skip this spot. The flavor is, well, fine. But you're getting mostly beans. I lost count of how many bites were just beans and tortilla. It was also pretty skinny, like my fingers almost closed around it. The salsa was good, so that helped.
The service was also pretty meh, took a minute for someone to get to the register for us to order, even though there was only 1 other customer.
I'd skip this place and hit up any of the other Mexican restaurants nearby.
Tacos El Superior replaced our go to spot for carne asada nachos combined with the fact I’m not a fan of the beef birria fad (I prefer the OG goat birria), it took a long time to try them out.
Anyway, a craving for nachos and an errand at a nearby UPS store and here we are. Ordered the asada nachos and a Al pastor taco and was pleasantly surprised. Nachos we basic. Cheese sauce, not shredded, some asada and cilantro as we held off on the onions. Sour cream and guac was missing from my GF’s perspective, but was just right in my opinion. Thankfully we had sour cream and an avocado at home for her :) The Al pasta had decent flavor and edible, but clearly not from and trompo. The pineapple pieces was a nice touch though.
Best surprise was the salsas. Red was really spicy, but tasty and the green full of flavor. When I saw the salsa “policy”, it reminded me of King Taco. When I tasted the salsas, it confirmed it. All good for me though. Menu’s not identical, but they are closer when I have the craving. The asada here is tastier, so that much more reason to come back. Service was top notch at the drive through as well. Will have to try a few more menu items and will update my review accordingly.
For now, thumbs up 👍
Best quesabirria in the area. Their price are affordable and the best of all their place is super clean. Their customer service is great. We got a welcome greeting by their manager.
Food is always delicious and great customer service!
Their salsas are great too!
Food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. The horchata was also very tasty. We came from San Bernardino, so we made sure to take some for our ride back home.
Absolute fantastic and authentic meal at El Superior. First of all, birria tacos con queso and consume is hard to find (non-truck) that is quality and authentic. This place is both. Including the whole beans (luv that) and real rice without added corn or peas 🙄. Next time I have to try the tacos and burrito. Also avail is Carnitas, Pastor, Pollo.
Beware the red salsa. For me, it was tasty but hot. Excellent meal.
